Andrew joined the Brafe in 1979 as technical manager. Having seen enormous change and evolution in the company and its customers over his career Andrew is still driven and believes excellence is the minimum acceptable of personal and company performance. Having guided the company from private ownership into employee ownership over the last three years he now believes the opportunity for engagement and success is there to be embraced. In his spare time Andrew enjoys precious time with family and relaxes by camping and spending time with his array of dogs.

Adam Dalby
Managing Director

If you don’t love what you do, don’t do it is Adam’s motto and after 12 years working his way through the business, he is just as passionate about Brafe now as he was when he started at 18. Over the past decade Adam has reached several career milestones including completing his BA Hons Business Management and accepting the role of Managing Director at the start of 2022. Adam’s passion lays in business relationships with his colleagues and valuable customers. He relishes the opportunity to travel the world to visit Brafe’s global customer base. In his spare time Adam enjoys spending time with his young family, fulfilling his duties as Chairman of Woodbridge Town Football Club and watching cricket in the sunshine.


Arron Boarder
Head of IT

Arron comes from a proven background in IT systems implementation and change. As Head of IT, Arron will be utilising his skills in turning business strategy into IT deliverables, with a focus on employing the most up-to-date technologies and solutions to aid the business with our continued success and aspirations for future growth. Current projects include a major ERP overhaul and implementation, a new infrastructure backbone and delivery of data-centric tools including Industry 4.0 standards. Arron’s personal interests include offshore sailing and motorsport.

Chris Pritchard
Head of Machining.

As Head of machining Chris is key to developing modern manufacturing strategies to improve output and increase machine utilisation. Chris has been an engineer all his working life and comes from an extensive background in precision engineering and process development. He is currently planning a major new investment of 5-axis mill/turn technology that will change the way Brafe Engineering manufactures many of its core products and dramatically reduce setup times.

Daniel Rutland
Head of Finance

Dan joined Brafe in November 2020. He started his working career as an Auditor at KPMG before moving into Industry, and now has over 20 years of experience in leading finance teams and delivering key financial analysis to stakeholders. Commercially minded, Dan believes that Finance should be at the heart of a business’ operations and always aims to provide a proactive value adding service. Outside of work, Dan is married with 2 children who keep him busy and enjoys travel and skiing.


Paul Cookson
Compliance Manager

Paul joined Brafe in 2017 with over 15 years of manufacture and Health & Safety Management experience. Pauls current role comprises of Compliance and Maintenance Management, with the continuous task of imbedding improved Health, Safety & Enviornment practices. Paul is working towards the 14001 Environmental accreditation which we hope to secure in 2020.

Klair Symonds
HR Manager

Klair Joined Brafe in 2018 and is fully qualified with a thorough background in HR, having worked in various companies throughout the region. Klair understands the core principles of putting people first. Her skills in planning, directing and coordinating have elevated the HR department to enable our workforce to make a positive difference. Klair enjoys running marathons to raise money for those in need.

Ken Dean
Quality Manager.

Ken joined Brafe in 2008 and has progressed through the quality team to the position of  Quality Manager. Ken has a track record of Quality Management within the metal casting industry whilst maintaining the required accreditations to support customer requirements and is passionate about holding the Level III status for the company’s NDE facility, alongside upholding our Nuclear quality program.

Out of work Ken enjoys all the good things that life offers, such as dog walks and general outdoor pursuits, although occasionally has been known to sample craft ales in local establishments. Dreams of one day relocating to Spain to live out a long and happy retirement.
