Our History

Celebrating our 50th birthday in 2016, we have grown in both size and stature within our global markets. The below gallery and captions help to tell our story.

1966

Where it all began with our founder Michael Goodman. An old WW2 watch office on the site of an decomissioned RAF airfield at Martlesham Heath.

1972

Moved on the same site to a larger building, previously used as an aircraft gas store.

We moved to Leasehold premises at Betts Avenue, Martlesham Heath.

1989

Freehold site purchased with a purpose-built Factory in Woodbridge, Suffolk. Opened by Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex in July 1990.

Purpose built pattern shop, safely looking after our customer patterns for future use, Completing our current 3 building site development in Woodbridge.

2009

Off-site pattern store built in Marlesford, Suffolk. Helping to support our future growth and operational development in Woodbridge.
